Well, we're not on a roller coaster at Cedar Point's flagship Sandusky, Ohio amusement park, but we continue to feel dizzy and disoriented from all the changes at our local gasoline stations. Gasoline prices shot up in areas last week, led by stations in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Wisconsin. Average prices in the last week rose 6.1c/gal in OH, 5.7c/gal in IN, 4.8c/gal in KY, 3.6c/gal in AK, 2.5c/gal in MN, and 1.1c/gal in MI. Missouri prices rose 0.04c/gal, and every other state saw prices decline, led lower by North Dakota, where prices fell an average of 11.6c/gal, Nebraska fell 6.8c/gal, SD dropped 6.7c/gal... I pump less than 10 gallons a week, at 10cent up or down will be a dollar. I can't even buy a gallon of milk for that money or a cold crazy name 1 litter Pure Water bottle. Sure we had prices decrease for a while but it now looks like trends have taken an expensive turn for the worse. THIS SUCKS!!!

Wow, crude prices skyrocketed today due to speculation. What happened with OPEC saying that speculators were driving the price and that $70/bbl was okay with them last Spring? Now Iran wants a minimum of $90/bbl and was ready to call an emergency OPEC meeting when the prices were dropping last week. Back in the 70's and 80's the world economy was strong and the price of oil/gas was reasonable. Now the economy is shaky yet the speculators run amok and big oil refineries are raping us. It doesn't help that the US gov does things that devalue the USD. I've never been a supporter of gov regulations but they are needed for the oil industry and speculators now. The gov needs to trim regulations for other industries so that they can grow and hire more people. [Edited by: ToolinIt at 10/10/2011 11:04:10 PM EST]

Just when most of the prices in the Dallas area got below $3.00, they're right back above it by a few cents.

Last week I filled up in Missouri near the Illinois side for $2.99 a gallon. It had been down to $2.89. It went up to $3.19 this week when Illinois prices spiked to $3.39. It has come down now only 4 hours ago to $3.12 a gallon on the Missouri side. Where do you get .04 cents raise in prices?
