Yes you are right....we need a combination of all with less mainstream noise on the present vices. I like nuclear as well and the NG is good....especially to replace oil for heating. I am just frustrated with the constant pummeling of misinformation about renewables and the need to expand rather than protecting precious big business profits.

I have read lots of studies.....Cornell tell me who funded it?

by merlinCO  Feb 27, 2015

I did not say Colorado....I said if we used the water from AZ that goes to those cities we could raise in WY, NE, KS, UT, MO, AR, TX, OK.

Funny thing is, that when we produce enough, suddenly there is no need for it and the price of oil goes down thus no one thinks about the need for ethanol.

Those millions of acres of desert would really be much better utilized with wind turbines and solar panels than the millions that move to AZ and expect water to just arrive. If Colorado shut off the water to AZ we could grow enough corn to supply the whole nation but then we would have the same dilemma of transport. Farmers are being held back from producing by big oil and large business. We could easily supply the nation if allowed to use the technology available.

Power lines to start, and next we can grow corn near every metropolitan area.
