OK Some of the comments here are way off base. No 1: Refineries are not all owned by Big Oil. Refineries have been a marginal business at best for the last few years. They have been lucky if they show a modest profit. That is way a number of refineries have either been sold off or just closed. @) No refinery wants to be shut down for any reason let alone due to a fire. They are in the business of refining oil into gas and other products. They only make money when they can sell those products. If they have a fire they will not only have the costs of repairing the fire damage, but will not be able to refine gas and sell the gas. They lose! Now other refineries may benefit slightly as they will be able to sell more of the gas they refine and maybe at a slightly higher price, but the refinery that has the fire LOSES! And they would NOT plan to have a fire.

I view two tier pricing as a form of "Bait & Switch." Most posting on Gas Buddy do not show if the pricing is two tier and many driver assume it is all the same price for cash or credit. The drive to the station with the lowest prices and find out to their dismay that the price that they will pay is $.10 higher than they expected.

I did not know that there was anyone on this planet who had no birthday, though I have known of some who knew not when their birthday was. I guess that it is had to find a job without any education, and har to make a job of one's hobby if one has no hobby. I guess that one can make it though this life without having any favorites of anything, though it seems like a baleful existence. ROTFL I am sure that you will make a wonderful bbuddy, though I am not sure that I can say the same for myself.

Thank you for your kind words.

Statewide traffic camera ban proponents want the right to violate the law at will, so they are trying to limit the efforts to detect their law breaking. Does anyone ever look at the situation that way?

Neither can my posting be confused since a comment always appears specifying whether the price is cash, credit card or cash or cash & price card same price.. Your method is more confusing, if you are part of the vast majority that pays by credit card and go into a service station that the listing does not specify, you will be forced to pay the higher price. Also, consider those individuals that are traveling and their home area has only a one tier system. They proceed to a station expecting to pay the listed price only to find that when the pay by credit card they are paying a higher price. They have just be suckered.

" My posting can not be confused." - that's not true. If the (cash) price is 3.69, but you post 3.79, I might go to a different station that is listed as charging 3.75, not knowing that you posted the wrong price. (Note that if I load the price map to see what prices are in the area, the comments aren't shown unless I click on each price.)
