Please note my original post asking if it could be disabled. If it could be disabled, say with a secure PIN and no other mechanical way, I would be all for it!

Jim, as a member of RACES, I have been enroute to a specific area, as directed by my EOC and been redirected to a different area while in transit, due to a higher priority. That isn't going to happen with this device and would prevent me from receiving "Messages directly concerning the immediate safety of life of individuals, the immediate protection of property, maintenance of law and order, alleviation of human suffering and need," A quote from the FCC. Time lost arriving at the "wrong" location, waiting to "park" and report arrival and then be redirected, could result in the loss of lives or cause additional suffering. I for one can't and won't go that way!

I just read the article. Doesn't change my opinion.

What about passengers? Why should they be stopped from using their phones? And, what about a legit use like GPS? The Google Maps GPS saved me 30-90 minutes of hassle on a long trip from Louisville to Nashville Friday night with it's real time traffic. And, what about hands free calls. That's reasonably safe if done responsibly.

Hey Jim, here's a topic I had been talking about starting to some out here. Saves me a lot of writing to whiteboards and the inbox of everyone I'd be contacting: http://www.tampagasprices.com/Forum_MSG.aspx?category=1056&topic=604318&page_no=1 Hope you're getting plenty of votes!

Article I posted today! http://www.tampagasprices.com/news/Crude_oil_prices_rise_as_Saudi_Arabia_hints_at_rising_demand/99379_603661/index.aspx I'll be setting up a forum topic within two weeks.

by LanguageMan1  Feb 28, 2015

Oh yeah, I just thought of something. I'm going to set up a forum topic that we can just continue with. When the time comes, I'll create another one and we can move on to that one as well. It'll be easier for me to get in touch with everyone that way, or to have the word spread. Kinda difficult when a social site like this doesn't realize that it is a social site and doesn't set up it's pages to operate in such a manner. Later!

For those of you in Canada I'm sending it to, you'll be going up by another three to 12 cents a liter. I'd buy extra folks if you can, but no more than one or two months of a supply as it won't be worth it for more as gasoline sort of breaks down around four to six months later a bit. Ladies, I love you all; even though you're not one bro, that's for them! LOL!

Ok, for you and everyone that's reading this, I don't have time for anything else other than to send out this warning message. Gas prices are back up to nearly $2 a gallon on the wholesale market, so that means that at stations we're seeing the normal price of $2.39 a gallon at locally, they'll be up to $2.54 to $2.69 before long, such as within days to a week or so. I was right back in October until January when I said oil would probably bottom in the first half of the year, as it did. I also said we'd go up in price and it did. I also said oil would bottom at about $36 to $44 a barrel and that gas would go back up off the lows by at least 15 to 40 cents a gallon or more. It did all of that as well. I said we'd go down in price again, and even though it hasn't happened just yet, we still have a good chance that it will, before they really start to move prices back up to $2.79 to $2.99 a gallon throughout the country. Some places will hit those highs sooner than the rest of us.
