A belated BIG CONGRATS on reaching that 1.5M mark and your nice new red pickup truck! Wow! Truly awesome! Others ahead of you have retired, so there is lots of room at the 2M milestone! Can you believe that GBs are still active going on 13 years and heading for the 5M milestone, but most GBs retire between 3M and 4M! Keep going, don't stop now! It's nice seeing you come back each day as I track your progress to that 2M milestone! Keep leading the way for others to follow in GasBuddyland! Thanks buddy for your 4+ years of dedication here on GasBuddy! Have a nice week! Ron

I know you did write to me and I thanked you for being my newest friend. I always like yours and dallfo's stories. I won't be posting a story 'til after we come home Sunday. We are camping at South Lake Tahoe 'til then. Yesterday we met with KarisHolman for lunch. She is one of the local Gas Buddies and her picture is in my Gas Buddies album.

Thanks for being my newest friend. It will be my pleasure to pump you now. I'm retired, too. Retired in 1998.

by Mudsprings  Jul 13, 2014

I only pump friends. I pumped dallfo and Languageman1 when he has a story.

I pumped your article. I've ordered a new Toyota. It hasn't even come in yet and I already know that it has a recall.

Have a safe and Happy 4th of July weekend.

Enjoy the 4th!

Thank you. Those 2 ski areas are really eye-opening. I've always assumed that ski areas in other states were just smaller versions of Colorado ski areas. Nothing could be further from the truth. In Colorado skiing is the number 1 economic generator in the state. Here it's not just big business, it's the biggest business. The difference is both quantitative and qualitative. Nowadays ski areas are year-round sports resorts that draw in people from around the world. The ski trails turn into mountain bike trails during the summer. They never close. The ski areas are small versions of Disneyland open 24/7 year-round with hotels, concerts, tubing, biking, ice skating and any other activity you can think of. Some of the best concerts I've ever seen, both classical and rock have been sitting on a ski slope. Thank you for the urls. That's very interesting.

I just checked out the Cloudmont url. Thanks for the good laugh. :-). I don't think Vail is worried about the competition.

I understand. Like you, I have skied in conditions where people with more common sense than me are inside somewhere warm. I'm astonished there is a ski area in Alabama. How long is the ski season? Here we normally open in October and close at the end of May in most years, June occasionally or on July 4th if we've had a really snowy year.
