Hey there bro! Geez, I just lost ALL my notifications from my whiteboard and inbox, and it's gonna be a real BI*$H trying to figure out what is what. Anyhow, you wrote " "I don't think I can buy into that line." I can't blame you for saying that, as it's only going to help out us and the consumers of the world for a very short period of time as it's being done to help prop up the prices of oil and gas higher and to offset losses from the conventional wells that are and will be running dry. The price of oil and gas will be lower than it has been, and stable compared to some months and years, but we're still going to go up again.

How I would love to have some sockeye, mullet and others. Oh well... No, nothing good to speak of just yet. I'm going for two more here this afternoon. Both are plastics manufacturers, one I formerly worked at.

Fish just like anything can be frozen for the future. It's not as good as fresh, but I'll take it any day of the week.

by LanguageMan1  Jun 22, 2014

Oh, I had some trout, salmon, clams, tilapia and other stuff this week. Even though I'm homeless, I like my fish and can usually get some.

I had meant to write stuck there below, not suck. Anyhow, sometimes the computers don't function 100% today, nor the phones or tablets for that matter and sometimes they just don't keep up with us when we're typing fast. Anyhow, yeah, it sure shows how people are getting ripped off. You have a great day and weekend of it! Wish me well on the job front. I'm truly trying to find one, a better and decent one, a good employers and a decent wage. Enjoy the upcoming week ahead.

I'd imagine you're suck out there, sort of. Geez, only a difference of 15 cents. How awesome that would be, and it's a no-brainer to get it as it's better mileage and less money spent.

by LanguageMan1  Jun 19, 2014

Here, if you're in the poorer areas, the prices tend to be lower unless they're having a gas war. Near the beaches, it's higher and by the wealthier areas as well. Then add on the differences for regular unleaded gasoline versus the normal lower priced E-10. Non-ethanol is better for the engines, you get better mileage, but the price difference is 50 to 80 cents a gallon more; and sometimes more than that.

Yeah, I know about that speaking too soon thing. I used to do that a lot, but now I try to peg the prices for most everything ahead of time. Glad I do as I'm mostly right. We only raised at about a dozen stations in our area, and by no more than four cents as of yesterday midday, but now it's hitting all over and by eight to 12 cents or more at many. It's not so much the stations that are higher are ripping you off, as they DON'T set the price, it's the middle men and state regulators doing that. They charge what they can in different areas and it also depends on station volume. Smaller stations generally pay more.

How I wish Obama, his administration, most in Congress, the ultra-wealthy, Big Oil, Al-Qaeda, the Taliban, etc., would just fall off the earth.

by LanguageMan1  Jun 16, 2014

I know. It's already started in a few spots throughout the country, but nothing meaningful to mention here. Less than six stations up that I see so far in the area. Amarillo, Texas is above us, which is unusual, so we'll be up today or tomorrow at the earliest, possibly Thursday or Friday at the latest. Yeah, well, be glad you bought the tickets when you did as it might up more. It's holding in the $3.05 to $3.08 range, and that's not good. It's a higher range than before and that mean a higher support level and higher future prices. One hurricane or tropical storm will do it or if the terrorists in Iraq manage to blow up a refinery, pipeline, etc., that'll do it as well. Just think what it's gonna do to food, clothing, etc. I'm glad I have a few extra things on the side and extra food as well. Wish I had more though. It's like money in the bank and better, a good investment and a profit for your own wallet.
