Big Oil companies make billions of dollars in profits every quarter and experts know that ethanol fuel causes pipelines to corrode. The fire in Washington was caused by a missed corroded pipeline, which is normally found during a routine seasonal maintenance, but when these specialists doing this maintenance overlook such pipeline corrosion until after it was already a safety hazard, then perhaps big oil should invest more money in fixing up their refineries so these refinery accidents won't happen every single year. However, in their defense, 2013 has been one of their better years in recent memory, but perhaps because of what happened last year. It's good to have an open mind to these kind of situations. Big oil companies are not the poster boy model corporations that you may seem to think they are, DoctorV.
