Hi oldred11, Noticed your comment about the "High Speed Railroad" for California today. Don't understand why they are starting in the middle near Fresno. Your avatar picture looks like you are having fun in the sun in your convertible. Care to become buddies?? Warren {:-)

Breaking your promise...too funny. Thanks for the info/updates. Who knows, maybe things like you contacting me will get me involved! My problem is I have a lot of hobbies and things I enjoy, but seldom do I go "all in" on something. Restoring the A like my dad did was an all in hobby. Maybe it's easier when your kids fly the coop!

I'm not in a club down here (B'burg), but my dad was in the Blacktop Cruisers up in Rochester. Not sure if I'll jump in a club down here or not...too busy raising the kiddo! Oh, and good call on the brakes. They can be hard to get used to when everything now days is so easy to push and turn! Good luck.

Got your post on my A. It's a '31 and my dad restored it ground up. I supplied some cash and labor, but it's something he wanted to do. He passed last year and I've not really had the heart to do much with it this year, but will next summer. This one is 100% original, thus the trailer for more than a 20 minute drive! Those things are pretty simple, but also can be a bit finicky. I think it's mostly b/c I grew up in the age of points changing to electronic ignition! People do all sorts of things with them, but we decided years ago to go original. Several people in is car club did modifications so they can drive them anywhere easily, so whichever way you go should be fine; just a personal preference. Oh, one thing I found out the hard way was they are a positive ground...could come in handy when you go to put in the new battery if you buy one! My winter reading is to go through a couple books by dad had on restoration. Main suggestion is that you need to enjoy tinkering, fixing o
