Here is the map of the long established pipeline networks between America and Canada. http://understory.ran.org/2010/05/25/canadas-tar-sands-top-us-oil-imports/

Hi valvestem, "Oh boy, now the Canucks will be selling us oil too. " That was a joke right? Since Canada for years has been the #1 Oil supplier to the US. as reported by your American Department of Energy's U.S. Energy Information Administration in this link http://www.eia.doe.gov/pub/oil_gas/petroleum/data_publications/company_level_imports/current/import.html

A dollar a day to charge the Volt seems to be a low dollar amount. I bet it would be considerably higher in Maine in the Greater Portland area specifically.

Electricity comes from a large number of sources depending where you live. I would rather buy electricity (primarily from coal for now) from an American, than oil from someone that doesn't like me, especially if it's cheaper! $30 a month on Electricity sounds much better to me than $90 a month on gas. www.chevrolet.com/pages/open/default/future/volt.do GM estimates about a dollar a day to recharge the Volt.

Nope, not Toyota, but from where I used to work many years ago.

Deny Everything, Admit Nothing, Demand Proof Your quote sounds just like Toyota!
