What a Crock! Regular is still available for $3.09 per gallon here, though the fools here support increasing the average by paying as much as $3.51 for one gallon of the same product. If you want lower prices, stop buying at the more expensive stations. If you are willing to pay it they are willing to charge it. DUH

Funny speculators were hardly mentioned....ie. anyone really think European economy(s) are fixed & consumption will go up??? Only speculators do & want profits first even before it appears it might happen. As for prices in US, we're now about $6.04/gal Cdn with last nights increase of over 2 c/L ie 9 c/gal Cdn (yes one day) & up about 20c/gal in lst week.

Because They Can! Big Oil will raise fuel prices if they want to or have a refinery undergo 'unplanned maintenance' when they want to. There is nothing you can do, Big oil will maintain its profits without regard to your well being or your possible economic problems. The trend is always up with fuel prices. The price at the pump needs to go down to $2/gallon, $3 to $3.50/gallon is Not the new low! With 'coming out of the closet' Barry's lousy, smoke and mirrors, lack of jobs, dog and pony show and in the crapper economy, who can afford to buy fuel and the vehicle to use it! Barry can spin the jobs numbers so they look much better than what they really are, he's a smooooth talker if there ever was one! Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using other forms of less expensive transportation to lower your cost. The price of fuel at the pump is too high! 12/22/2012

Bitch and moan all you want, it won't change a damn thing. Less of a supply the more competition for that commodity. Life bites, yes, get over it and grow up!!!

ok. When he says top 1%, he is not talking about just the United States, He is talking about the entire world. Most of the people in the United States fall in the top 1%. He wants to tax the entire population to bring the US down. "Taxing the rich" in his mind means taxing everyone that lives here. We are in for some trouble.

Corporate profits were down in July, so they stick it to the consumers in August to make sure the CEO's get their big bonuses

The price rose 20 cents before the fire in California. So, that is just BS. The speculators are driving the price sky high.

Actually the CEO of two of the highest 'oilbaron' companies got a pimple on their rear ends at the same time. They used the telephone to discuss any suitable remedies . After a lengthy conversation it was agreed that they would raise the price of gas as a poultice and obtain enough cash for extra pillows to be placed on their already comfortable chairs. Solution found!
